Admissions

Thank you for your interest in attending Flatirons Academy. Our vision is to educate students in Christ, through Christ, and for Christ by providing a Jesus-centered and classical academic approach. Our mission is to come alongside parents by teaching students to glorify God in all truth, goodness, and beauty, bringing the awesome life of Christ to a lost and broken world.

Our staff is committed not only to academic excellence but also to biblical authority – teaching students that God shows us the best way to live through His Word, the Bible. If you agree with and are supportive of our philosophy, objectives, and educational standards and believe that Flatirons Academy is the best educational fit for your family, please take the time to carefully read over the application and fill it out completely. We look forward to coming alongside you as you educate your child.

Application Procedures:

Please note: complete applications will be processed in the order they are received.

Step 1: Understanding Who We Are

We want your family to fully understand and embrace FA's classical Christian model of education, so we require all families to read the Flatirons Academy Parent Handbook and An Introduction to Classical Education: A Guide for Parents by Dr. Christopher Perrin (available as a PDF on our web page). This reading will give you insights regarding what we do and why we do it. Please read the Flatirons Academy Parent Handbook before you sign the application, and read Dr. Perrin’s guide prior to any scheduled family interviews.

Step 3: Testing

Testing for all incoming students is required before admission. At the administration’s discretion, students may be exempt from this testing.

Step 4: Interview

An administrator will meet with the family to discuss the completed application. This meeting provides an opportunity for both the family and Flatirons Academy to ask questions.

Step 5: Notification of Acceptance

After the above steps have been completed, the Admissions Committee will review and make the final admission determination. Families will be notified in writing of the Admissions Committee’s decision.

Step 6: Records and Tuition Arrangements

Before the student will be allowed to attend class, all required records and method of tuition payment form must be submitted to the school office. Required documents are permanent records from your child’s previous school, health form completed by a physician, immunization records or waiver, and emergency contact form. Parents will enroll with FACTS, our online tuition management service. Tuition may either be paid in full in July with a 5% discount, in two payments (July and January), or in twelve monthly payments.

Admission is offered in the following priority order after applications have been approved:
